Every
year, thousands of businesses and homes are hit with incidents
of trespass, theft, vandalism, and violent or disruptive
conduct.
- Equipment
is stolen, damaged, or misused.
- Fixtures
and furnishings are defaced.
- Violence
or other inappropriate conduct may occur
that can make you liable as a business or homeowner.
Effective
security surveillance means more than simply buying
a camera, mounting it, and turning it on. The right
system for your premises should be precision-designed
and configured to optimize such factors as
- Light
and Contrast: is your camera's lens sensitive
enough to register all activity even in low illumination?
Are images washed out because variations in lighting
are too extreme?
- Clarity:
does your system furnish clear, crisp images of every
movement in its range?
- Height
and Angle: is your equipment mounted to provide
comprehensive coverage of its area at the widest possible
angle?
- Distance:
is your camera mounted closely enough to the target
area to provide recognizable scale for subjects being
viewed?
- Temperature,
Moisture, and Vibration Resistance: is your unit deployed
in the environment it was made for? Does it continue
to function effectively through external changes such
as extremes in weather, impact shock, and other disturbances?
- Connection:
does your equipment interact with your other business
systems? Is surveillance integrated with your business's
other information and communication capabilities to
provide automated incident notification, remote viewing
and retrieval, and other time-sensitive capabilities?

Price
Alone is not Value
With thousands
of security surveillance products on the market, the
right system for your business, organization, or home,
at the right price for your budget, comes from consultation
with certified video security professionals. It isn't
always about spending money. The system that works best
for your business may be as simple as a four-camera
black and white configuration, with indoor-outdoor capability
and integration with a PC-based software program, for
$2,500 or less. Or it may be as complex and advanced
as a multiple-unit color configuration with real-time
digital monitoring, infrared sensing,
image enhancing with anti-tampering watermarks, protection
against environmental disruption, and other features. |

to ensure optimal placement of each unit. We also factor
in related dependability and performance issues, such
as recommending UPS units for critical equipment. And
when we deploy the equipment, we will do it even if
thousands of employees and customers are accessing your
premises while we work, as we did when we provided surveillance
equipment for every Northwest Airlines gate at Memphis
International Airport. |

The
“ACCESS Advantage”Controlled Access Systems
The most
important elements of a security program are the accountability
of the company's personnel and assets. These can be
achieved with the use of access control. With the use
of a computer and software, access control systems can
provide a wide variety of unique features to further
control, manage, or report on usage. One of the most
popular card technologies today is Proximity. This provides
the cardholder the ability to present his card to the
reader between 2" to 8" for normal read range
to access the desired location. There are readers that
provide longer ranges if required. Smart card technology
is evolving and is normally used in conjunction with
other systems like debit card, meal plan, and other
applications. Now affordable, Biometrics is being used
in high security applications when positive identification
is critical for access to a given area. Access DNSI
provides all these technologies and more including Proximity,
Biometrics, Smartcard, Magstripe, Vehicle Clickers,
Keypads and Active Tags. Call AccessDNSI Today for a
Security Solution For all customers, AccessDNSI is able
to recommend, plan, and install the best system for
your needs, at a price that fits your budget. Call (901)

can help protect your premises today. There are three
major elements in the access control industry that controls
entry or exit to a specified area: Physical, Mechanical
and Electronic. Physical security involves the use of
some form of barrier such as a door, gate, person, stanchion
or even a big rock. Mechanical access utilizes a door
lock, emergency crash bar, gate operator, parking gate
arm, turnstiles or a revolving door. Electronic access
control includes an Electrified Door Lock Control; Card
Access Control; Biometric Access Control; Programmable
Logic Controllers; Controlled Elevators and a Smart
Card Access Control. Electronic Access Control can
simply be described as “Controlling who goes where
and when”.
The
“Who”, or each person, would be
issued some form of technology to identify a specific
individual such as a PIN Number, an Access Card or Biometric
Identification. The individual would present or insert
their card, PIN, or biometric identification to a specified
reader to identify him or herself. The reader would
transmit the identification number to the electronics
requesting entry or exit.
The
Where: Readers are strategically placed throughout
a facility to control access to a given area. These
devices can be installed on doors, gates, or any other
portal. With the use of electronics, only those individuals
authorized to gain entry to a specified area will be
granted access.
The
When: Once the identification has been validated
by the electronics, additional logic can provide the
ability to further restrict access based on a time or
date parameter. For example: an Individual should only
be in a specified area between the hours of 0700hrs
to 1700hrs, Monday through Friday. If the individual
attempts entry before or after these time and week parameters,
they would be denied access. One of the most popular
card
technologies today is Proximity. This provides the cardholder
the ability to present his card to the reader between
2" to 8" for normal read range to access the
desired location. There are readers that provide longer
ranges if
required. Smart card technology is evolving and is normally
used in conjunction with other systems like debit card,
meal plan, and other applications. Now affordable, Biometrics
is being used in high security applications when
positive identification is critical for access to a
given area. Access DNSI provides all these technologies
and more
including Proximity, Biometrics, Smartcard, Magstripe,
Vehicle Clickers, Keypads and Active Tags. |
